Norman Large, born in 1952 in Barrington, Rhode Island, is a prominent performer on Broadway's musical stage. He first appeared in several episodes of Star Trek over three series, including: Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager.

In 1990, Large appeared in the same "Quantum Leap" episode as Susan Diol, Dean Stockwell and Scott Bakula. Susan Diol is best known as the actress who portrayed Carmen Davila in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Silicon Avatar" and later Doctor Denara Pel in the Star Trek: Voyager episodes "Lifesigns" and "Resolutions".
