The digger is a large burrowing animal indigenous to Terra Nova.

The Novans used the shells of the animal to make clothing and fed on its meat. Captain Archer and Lieutenant Reed found a cavern with many digger shells, and later encountered a living digger that quickly burrowed back into the earth. (ENT: "Terra Nova")
