The Old City Station was a Starfleet facility, once described as the "hind-end of space."

Commander Uhura was posted to the transporter room, along with "Mr. Adventure", at Old City station in 2285. Uhura illegally beamed Dr. McCoy, Kirk and Sulu to the USS Enterprise. (Star Trek III: The Search for Spock)
