Optic nerve laser welding was a medical equipment used to fix an ocular implant and repair the optic nerve that transmits visual information from the retina to the humanoid brain.

Katherine Pulaski offered the procedure to Lieutenant Geordi La Forge in 2365 to takes off his VISOR, although he turned down the opportunity. (TNG: "Loud As A Whisper")
