The Federation shuttlepod Pike was an auxiliary craft, shuttlepod number 12, attached to the starship USS Enterprise-D. A sublight type 15 shuttlepod, this was one of many small shuttles attached to that vessel. It was named for 23rd century Starfleet Fleet Captain Christopher Pike.
In 2366, the Pike was destroyed while on a mission piloted by Lt. Cmdr. Data. It had been sabotaged by merchant Kivas Fajo, who made it appear as if Data also perished in the explosion. (TNG: "The Most Toys")
