Pointed-ear (also Pointed-ears or Pointed-eared) is a racial slur/slang for both Romulans and Vulcans. Elim Garak used the term once, in earshot of several Romulans. (DS9: "Improbable Cause")

Doctor McCoy, Chief Medical Officer aboard the USS Enterprise referred to Commander Spock as a "pointy eared hobgoblin" during his many arguments with his fellow shipmate. (TOS: "Bread and Circuses")

After Benjamin Sisko told her she would "have made a decent Romulan", Jadzia Dax told him she preferred her Trill spots to pointed ears. (DS9: "In the Pale Moonlight")
