A polar bear is a large mammal native to the Arctic Circle region of the planet Earth.
In 2153, during the Arctic Archaeology Team's excavation of a Borg sphere found in the Arctic Circle, Drake joked that Rooney should be more scared of polar bears than the "cybernetic corpses" they had discovered. (ENT: "Regeneration")
