Ponea

The Ponea were a Delta Quadrant species encountered by the crew of the USS Equinox sometime between 2371 and 2375. They were described by Marla Gilmore as "the life and party of the Delta Quadrant", as they saw every first contact as an excuse to throw a party. When the Equinox encountered this species, the Ponea gave them food and supplies, including a synaptic stimulator. The species was never encountered by the USS Voyager. (VOY: "Equinox")
