Power coupling

A power coupling was a component used aboard Federation starships during the 23rd and 24 centuries. (ENT: "United", "In a Mirror, Darkly, Part II"; TNG: "Disaster")
In 2368, Crewman Terry of the USS Sutherland replaced several power couplings. (TNG: "Redemption II")
- The starboard power coupling aboard the USS Enterprise-D appears to have been extraordinarily delicate, as it was reported down or damaged virtually every time the ship came under fire. Conversely, the port power coupling seems to have been virtually invulnerable, as no damage was ever reported to it through the entire run of Star Trek: The Next Generation, even when the ship was near destruction.
