A protodynoplaser is a medical application used to stabilize a patient's immune system.

In 2366, Zalkonian patient "John Doe" had an unstable immune system after crashlanding on a planet. Dr. Beverly Crusher ordered one of her assistants to use a protodynoplaser on "John Doe" to stablize his immune system due to system infection. (TNG: "Transfigurations")
