Psych Test

The Psych Test was the final test in the Starfleet Academy entrance exam, and was a psychological evaluation based on reactions to various individual problems.

For the test, Starfleet analyzed each applicant's psychological profile to determine what they were afraid of, and the applicant was to face their deepest fear and live through it to pass the test. Despite Wesley Crusher's anxiety, Lt. Worf stressed that the Psych Test was no more or less important than any of the other tests in the exam process. (TNG: "Coming of Age")
