Pulsatel lockseal

A pulsatel lockseal was a locking mechanism, which could be opened using an appropriate desealer.

Quark used a pulsatel lockseal to secure the door to the store room in his bar, but Rom admitted in 2370 that he had managed to open the door without using the proper desealer on a number of occasions, and in less than 10 seconds.

A pulsatel lockseal was also used to secure the doors to the ship's store on Deep Space 9's Promenade. Quark and Rom used a desealer made by Nog to break into the ship's store in 2370, in order to retrieve a box hidden there during the Cardassian Occupation of Bajor when the store used to be a chemist's shop.
