Puree of beetle is a Ferengi gruel-like food item typically served for breakfast.

Every morning after work, Rom had his routine bowl of puree of beetle at Quark's. This changed in early 2373 when Rom decided to have the Chief O'Brien breakfast of choice: two eggs, over easy, with three strips of bacon and a side of corned beef hash. (DS9: "The Assignment")
