Pyris VII (or Pyrix VII) is a planet which is in or near Federation space. (TNG: "Conspiracy")
Prior to 2267, several surveys had revealed no life. In 2267, the aliens Sylvia and Korob established a base there for the purpose of learning about the worlds of the Federation. Sylvia became infatuated with sensation, and dangerously irrational. To stop her, James T. Kirk destroyed the transmuter. Without its power, the two aliens quickly perished. (TOS: "Catspaw")

The original appearance of Pyris VII was replaced when the episode "Catspaw" was remastered in 2006.
Additionally, a new matte was created to represent the castle located on the planet.
Pyris VII was mentioned (as "Pyrix VII") as a small note on a very large star chart graphic created for TNG: "Conspiracy". It was the image behind the chair in the room where Dexter Remmick was killed. It appears to be located within an outlined block, which may indicate that it was surrounded or was even a part of Federation territory at the time. It appears to be near Capella.
