Captain R. Savage was the commanding officer of the 24th century starship CAR 54-Q. (DS9: "Whispers")
Captain Savage was apparently named for professional wrestler Randy Savage. His name was not mentioned in dialog; it was simply listed in an okudagram graphic of an arrival roster on a viewscreen. The graphic was also populated by a number of other in-jokes.
