Rakhar is a planet in the Gamma Quadrant, located in the Rakhar sector, and the homeworld of the Rakhari species. Nehelik Province is an area in the southern hemisphere of the planet and Exarch is a high level rank.
In the 2360s, Croden spoke out against the repressive policies of the government. For doing so, Croden's family were killed.
The planet was first visited by the United Federation of Planets in 2369 by Benjamin Sisko and Jadzia Dax aboard the USS Rio Grande. (DS9: "Vortex")
