Ray Shaffer is one of the Proteus Make-up FX Team's lab technicians on 2009's Star Trek.
Shaffer was previously a hair technician on the DreamWorks comedy Tropic Thunder, working with Aida Caefer. Shaffer and Caefer are currently working together on Star Trek.
Shaffer also did uncredited work as a lab technician on the hit 2007 film I Am Legend. Salli Elise Richardson and Paradox Pollack were among the cast members of this film. More recently, Shaffer worked with Quantum Creation FX on the film Watchmen, based on the graphic novel published by DC Comics and featuring Matt Frewer.
