Spacelab Regula I was a Federation research station located in orbit of the Class D planetoid Regula on the edge of the Mutara Nebula.

In an alternate 2258, some Academy cadets were assigned to Regula I during Nero's attack on Vulcan. (Star Trek)

The Regula I was an inverted re-use of the orbital office complex that first appeared in Star Trek: The Motion Picture. It would later be recycled and "upscaled" to represent a several other Federation starbases; for more information see studio models.
It is unknown why Cadets were assigned to the station in Star Trek when the objective appeared to be a rescue mission.
