The Rekags were one of two rival factions on the planet Rekag-Seronia (or Seronia), located within Federation space. The civil war between the Rekags and their rival faction, the Seronians, grew to such an acute level by 2369 that a local shipping route was threatened. The Federation dispatched Ambassador Ves Alkar to mediate the dispute, held in the city of Darthen. Alkar was ultimately successful in bringing peace between the Rekags and the Seronians.
