The repetitive epic is a genre of Cardassian literature characterized by a repetition of plot elements and themes, of which The Never Ending Sacrifice is generally regarded as the greatest example. Elim Garak saw the repetitive epic as the most elegant form of Cardassian writing. (DS9: "The Wire")
