Rick Avery is a stuntman, stunt coordinator, stunt actor and second unit director who performed stunts as a Maquis colonist in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Preemptive Strike" and served as the stunt coordinator for Star Trek: Insurrection. He received no credit for his television appearance.
Avery is married to stuntwoman Joni Avery and they have two sons, both stuntmen, Brian Avery and Mike Avery. He was a police officer in Santa Barbara, California, where he has owned a karate studio.
Avery's stunt and stunt coordinating resume includes over 300 films and television series. Among his resume are films such as Blow Out (1981, with J.
