The Romulan Ship Recognition Manual was a gaming guide used for Star Trek: The Role-Playing Game by FASA. It showed designs and described the combat abilities for several Romulan ship types and gave brief histories for them. The ships were from the timeframes of the original Star Trek series and movies. It contained many more designs than were contained in the original Starship Combat Manual.

[edit] Background information
- Two versions of the manual were released, each with the same "Second Edition"-based material. In both cases, the cover depicts a front half cutaway view Whitewind cruiser, while the opposite back covers continues the image with the back half cutaway view Whitewind cruiser. The first edition has only the words "ROMULAN SHIP RECOGNITION MANUAL" printed in plain red block letters over the cruiser, while the second edition incorporates the same "framed" style as the 2nd Edition Federation & Romulan Ship Recognition Manuals.
