Actor Ron Canada, besides his various Star Trek appearances, has appeared in numerous films, such as Adventures in Babysitting, The American President and National Treasure, as well as having a recurring role in the television series, The West Wing. He also played a guest role in Babylon 5.
Canada was a leading candidate for the role of Martok in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, but lost to his good friend J.G. Hertzler.
Canada also appeared in the film National Treasure with fellow Star Trek guest actors Christopher Plummer and Don R. McManus.
From 1995 to 1996, Canada starred in the short-lived series Live Shot. Other Star Trek stars who were also cast members include David Birney, Karen Austin, Jeff Yagher, Bruce McGill and Sam Anderson. Star Trek stars who guest-starred include Casey Biggs, Chase Masterson, Dion Anderson, John Schuck, Lee Arenberg, Hal Landon, Jr., Cully Fredricksen and Kenneth Tigar.
