Rubber Tree People

The Rubber Tree People were an ancient group of Native Americans, who lived in the rainforests of Central America on Earth. They were amongst the Inheritors, Humans whose genetics were altered by the Sky Spirits 45,000 years ago.

Descendants of the Rubber Tree People survived into the 24th century, amongst them Chakotay. Some still lived in the Central American forest, in the same traditional manner as their ancestors. (VOY: "Tattoo")
