Rubicun III is the homeworld of the Edo species. The USS Enterprise-D visited this planet after delivering Earth colonists to the neighboring Strnad system. The Edo were protected by a transdimensional being who they worshiped as their God. Random punishment zones were moved around on the planet's surface. (TNG: "Justice")
The surface of Rubicun III was shot at the Van Nuys Japanese garden at the Tillman Water Reclamation Plant, California. The Starfleet Academy and Starfleet Headquarters scenes were also filmed at this location. (Star Trek: The Next Generation Companion)
