The San Francisco Giants were an American professional baseball team, formerly known as the New York Giants, until they moved to San Francisco during the latter half of the 20th century.
In early 2375, Benjamin Sisko wore a San Francisco Giants cap during the Niners team practices, in preparation for the holosuite baseball game against the Logicians. (DS9: "Take Me Out to the Holosuite")
