Shanghai was a port city located on the coast of the East China Sea in eastern China. (TOS: "The Cage")
- This city was identified on a political map of the North Pacific region. This map was accessed from the USS Enterprise library computer by the Talosians in 2254.
In 1932, seven women were knifed to death here by the Redjac entity. The murders remained unsolved until 2267. (TOS: "Wolf in the Fold")
