Shoggoth

Shoggoth was a Cardassian novelist who wrote many noted enigma tale mysteries. (DS9: "Distant Voices")

Shoggoths are fictional creatures in H.P Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos. The spelling indicates that it could be some sort of homage.
