A Slusho was a beverage available on Earth in the mid-23rd century. In an alternate reality of 2255, Cadet Nyota Uhura ordered a Slusho (among other drinks) in the Riverside Shipyard Bar just prior to meeting Jim Kirk. (Star Trek)
Slusho was a reference to J.J. Abrams' previous project Alias. It played a heavy role in the viral marketing for Cloverfield. In its original conception, it was a flavored frozen drink produced by a subsidiary of Tagruato.
