The intestine is a two-part anatomical system designed to transfer digested food to the circulatory system or to expel foods from the body. It is part of the digestive system.
The Hirogen collect the intestines of prey, along with many other body parts. They considered Human intestines to be an unusual relic due to its great length. (VOY: "Hunters")
Compared to Human intestines, the Vidiian small intestine is longer but still packaged together to fit in the body. (VOY: "Lifesigns")
