Sodium is a chemical element, number 11 on the periodic table. (TNG: "Home Soil") It has the atomic weights of 11 and 19. (TNG: "Rascals")
Oddly, in "Rascals", sodium was on the Table of Elements twice, once under the symbol "Na" (symbol in real life), and again under the symbol "K." In real life, "K" is the atomic symbol for potassium.
