The Soyuz was a 20th and 21st century Russian spacecraft comparable to the United States of America' space shuttle.
A sketch depicting the Soyuz spacecraft was contained in the library computer aboard the USS Enterprise in 2254. (TOS: "The Cage" remastered)
It is unclear if this database image depicts the Soyuz-TM or Soyuz-TMA spacecraft, as both have a virtually identical exterior appearance.
