The Star Trek Commemorative Checker Set was produced by Franklin Mint in 1995, presumably around the same time as their release of the Star Trek: The Next Generation Commemorative Chess Set. Like its predecessor, this was meant to be a companion piece to the TNG chess set.

This was a standard set of checkers produced in pewter and plated in either 24-karat gold or sterling silver. The gold checkers depicted the USS Enterprise-D on one side and the 2360s Federation combadge on the other. The silver checkers depicted the Borg cube on one side and the Borg insignia on the other.

The set was sold in a special collector's case, and apparently was offered separately from the chess set to play on its board. There is no current info to confirm or deny if it was offered with its own round glass checker board like the TOS checker set.
