A subspace flux isolator is a device capable of pulling objects out of subspace.
In an alternate timeline where Benjamin Sisko was pulled into subspace after an engineering accident on the USS Defiant, an older Jake Sisko developed a subspace flux isolator to return him to normal space. He attempted to re-create the accident at the time of the Bajoran wormhole inversion in 2422, but was unsuccessful in rescuing his father. (DS9: "The Visitor")
