General Sun Tzu was an ancient Chinese strategist and philosopher on Earth in the 6th century BC. He is best known for his influential text The Art of War, which was still required reading at Starfleet Academy during the 24th century. The near-universal applicability of Sun Tzu's teachings, not only in military maneuver but in principles for success in many aspects of life, has cultivated countless adherants throughout the centuries, and has continued to garner consideration and commentary from not only human, but also alien, minds.
