Suran

Commander Suran was an officer in the Romulan military.
In 2379, he supported Shinzon's bid to take over the Romulan Star Empire by assassinating the Romulan Senate, in exchange for Shinzon's support in an attack on the Federation. Commander Donatra eventually convinced Suran that Shinzon's genocidal plans against Earth were unconscionable. (Star Trek Nemesis)
Commander Suran was played by actor Jude Ciccolella.

- It is speculated that Commander Suran was the commanding officer of the second Valdore-type Warbird at the battle to stop Shinzon, but this is not established in either the movie or the script.
- The Star Trek Customizable Card Game has Suran commanding the Norexan-class warbird Soterus.
- In the novels Taking Wing and The Red King, Suran still commanded the Romulan military jointly with Donatra. She killed him after she came to regard him as an obstacle in the way of evacuating the Neyel homeworld.
