T'Meni, a Vulcan, was the mother of Tuvok.

In 2289, T'Meni and her husband sent their son Tuvok to Starfleet Academy, as it was their wish that he become a Starfleet Officer. Feeling obliged to honor his parents' wishes, Tuvok consented to attend. (VOY: "Flashback")

Tuvok's granddaughter, T'Meni the daughter of Sek, in turn the eldest son of Tuvok, was named in honor of her second foremother. (VOY: "Hunters")

During the late 23rd century Tuvok's father was a Starfleet officer and a member of the crew of the USS Yorktown, it is possible that T'Meni was also aboard this ship and likewise a Starfleet officer.
