Takar (region)

Takar is a region on a planet in the Delta Quadrant. The "Song of the Sages" originates from the inhabitants of Takar.

The two Ferengi, Arridor and Kol, crash-landed in Takar in 2366 after passing through the Barzan wormhole. They then proceeded to exploit the local mythology for their own benefit, until they were removed by the USS Voyager in 2373. (VOY: "False Profits")
