Takara sector

The Takara sector is a region of space a few parsecs away from the border of the Alpha Quadrant.

In an alternate timeline, after the USS Voyager implemented a quantum slipstream drive in 2375, an unavoidable phase variance in the slipstream caused the ship to be thrown into normal space in the Takara sector. Out of control, Voyager crashed on an L-class planet with the loss of all hands, save for Harry Kim and Chakotay, who were charting the slipstream ahead in the Delta Flyer.

Believing that his error had caused Voyager's destruction, Kim became obsessed with changing those events and eventually returned to the Takara sector on an unsanctioned mission to send a message to the past. He was able to collapse the slipstream before Voyager was destroyed. (VOY: "Timeless")

This incident, characterized as a temporal inversion, was one of three major time travel incidents caused by Voyager that Captain Braxton had to repair. (VOY: "Relativity")

The planet of Takara may be located here.
