Talax, also known as Talaxia, is an M-class planet located in the Talaxian system in the Delta Quadrant. It that is the homeworld of the Talaxian people. (VOY: "Tinker Tenor Doctor Spy", "Dragon's Teeth"). It has at least one moon, Rinax.
Talax, along with its territories, was seized by the Haakonian Order in the year 2356, at the conclusion of the Talaxian-Haakonian War. (VOY: "Jetrel") The planet remained under Haakonian control well into the 2370s. (VOY: "Homestead")
One of the most pleasant places on the planet is the Paxau Resort, where the rich and famous go to relax. (VOY: "Remember")
Notable landforms, remembered fondly by Neelix and Dexa, include the Axiana Lakes and the Godo Mountain Range. (VOY: "Homestead") Another landform, the Pyrithian Gorge, was the site of a battle between the Haakonians and Talaxians during their war. (VOY: "Jetrel")
