Why do we have on this list systems that could not possibly have a Federation Colony like Ceti Alpha, and M24 Alpha? I'd think we can eliminate several system based off our personal knowledge of these systems. --TOSrules 04:25, Dec 17, 2004 (CET)
- Because this is intended to be a disambig of all the "Alpha systems" in Trek; I've changed the wording of the note at the bottom to reflect that not all of them are possible sites for Alpha III and V. -- Steve 04:40, 17 Dec 2004 (CET)
- Well usually such a page should be Alpha_(disambiguation), but we already have a page just plain Alpha which works fine as both a description of word Alpha, and a list off all the possible things on this site referring to Alpha you might be looking for. Alpha system does not have to refer to a disambiguation page of Alpha. --TOSrules 05:29, Dec 17, 2004 (CET)
- (in reply to TOSrules): In my opinion, disambiguation page should usually use the name that would normally be used for any of the articles it disambiguates. If possible, a DP for several "Alpha systems" should be placed at Alpha system, not at Alpha system (disambiguation), Alpha (disambiguation) or Alpha because those are either to generic or names that wouldn't normally be used (by including the "(disambiguation)" suffix).
