Talk:Astrometrics

From Memory Alpha, the free Star Trek reference

  • An apparent continuity error occurred in "Shattered" when Janeway commented that they did not have an astrometrics lab while they were on their way to scan the ship. This contradicts the "update" mentioned in "Revulsion". (This continuity error is void, the Janeway who commented on the abscence of Astrometrics on Voyager was from the time period 2371, when Voyager was still in the Alpha Quadrant and had the basic Stellar Cartography Department as the other Intrepid Classes. The update mentioned in Revulsion was setting up the reveal of the new Astrometrics Lab in Year of Hell.)

Should be rewritten. — Morder 23:54, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

I think there is a continuity error, since Chakotay in Revulsion clearly states that the astrometricslab hasn't been updatet since Voyager was in spacedock. The last time the ship was in spacedock was a the beginning of Janeway's mission to the badlands. That is, before the 2371 Janeway in Shattered.

[edit] command functions

Should it be mentioned that astrometrics could serve as a temporary command post to which many bridge functions could be rerouted? I recall that in "Bliss" and maybe also "One", Seven controlled the ship from astrometrics where she felt most at home. Starfleetjedi 08:37, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
