[edit] Twice-baked potato
This could probably be merged with potato. --Alan del Beccio 20:17, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
- Agreed. --From Andoria with Love 20:24, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
- If we merged iced coffee with coffee using the rationale that it was the same thing, just prepared differently, why not merge this with potato?
- so apparently this has been suggested(and seconded) but nothing was done(unless I am missing something).--31dot 20:31, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
- That sounds about right. Jaf 22:40, 6 December 2008 (UTC)Jaf
Actually that was for the merging of twice-baked potato to potato before the baked potato article even existed. Once this article was created, the twice-baked article got merged here. With that said, I oppose. This is a dish and deserves to be merged no more than apple pie deserves to be merged into apple. --Alan 23:03, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
First of all, I see no reason why the iced coffee and coffee necessarily had to be merged, as there is apparently a distinction between one-another. Otherwise, unlike coffee/iced coffee, a baked potato is a "specially prepared dish," from a potato, just like an apple pie is a specially prepared dish from apples. Whereas, unlike you analogy, there are no Coffee beans involved. --Alan 23:42, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose merge of baked potato with potato. As stated above, one is a specific dish made from the other. --From Andoria with Love 04:53, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
