Talk:Class Y planet
From Memory Alpha, the free Star Trek reference
I am not aware of any Voyager dialogue that establishes the criteria for a Y Class planet as anything other than a surface temperature in excess of 500 degrees Kelvin and a toxic atmospher filled with thermionic radiation. Canon sources need to be cited. Aholland 02:35, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

- That's my point; the Star Charts are not canon. Are you aware of anything in the show that supports the information? Aholland 02:52, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
- I've made an edit which separates the controversial (non-canon) data. I beleive Alan, in response to your question, was trying to inform you that whoever wrote the passage had made an attempt to explain the origin of the incorrectly placed info. -- Captain Mike K. - I appreciate your making the change. I think it reads very nicely now. :) Aholland 04:06, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Kyrian sector
The planet was not identified as being in the "Kyrian sector" - at least in dialogue in the episode. Please identify the source of the information if someone has it; for the moment I am removing the recent addition as I believe it incorrect. Aholland 11:43, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
- It was identified as being in the Vaskan sector in "Course: Oblivion". Makes more sense, considering that the Vaskans were the dominant power at that time. --Jörg 12:22, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
- Good catch! I added the episode reference. Aholland 14:21, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Transporters?
My memory fails me, but was it said whether or not a transporter would work on a Class Y planet? --Terran Officer 05:42, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
