I thought the DY-500's were the last in a line ended when Impulse was invented in 2018. "Space Seed" -- TOSrules | Talk 17:00, 25 Aug 2004 (PST)

The DY-500 was only mentioned as a guess by Kirk in "Space Seed" before he was corrected by Spock that the seen vessel was much older. "Up the Long Ladder" used the DY-500 designation in the colonisation displays. -- Kobi 11:14, 26 Aug 2004 (CEST)
