[edit] Contradictory?

This position seems to be contradicted by TNG:Unnatural Selection. The children on Darwin Genetic Research Station are genetically engineered humans, which is alluded to be illegal under Starfleet's definition of eugenics during the episodes with Arik Soong in ENT season 4. --76.27.240.155 04:07, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
