I am curious as to how Gene Roddenberry came up with this design and how it represents "Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations". The IDIC looks like a take on the Illuminati Pyramid with the All Seeing Eye we see on the reverse of the United States Great Seal and seen elsewhere on Corporate logos, AOL, et al.
