Talk:Jadzia Dax (mirror)
From Memory Alpha, the free Star Trek reference
Do we know if the mirror Jadzia was joined with the Dax symbiont? If not this page should be moved to Jadzia Dax (mirror). Rebelstrike2005 22:48, 10 Mar 2005 (GMT)
- Without sufficient evidence or a mention on screen, it is plausible Jadzia Dax (mirror) had not been joined with the Dax Symbiont - Enzo Aquarius 22:54, 10 Mar 2005 (GMT)
- Sisko calls her Dax, so its seems that she was joined. Tough Little Ship 16:48, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)
- Yeah, the episode was "Shattered Mirror", when Sisko had to pretend to be Benjamin Sisko (mirror), and Jadzia was his mistress. He distinctly called her "Dax", and she didn't even flinch. Zsingaya Talk 14:28, 23 Sep 2005 (UTC)
- I thought it was in "Through the Looking Glass". Tough Little Ship 14:30, 23 Sep 2005 (UTC)
[edit] It's not just Sisko who calls her "Dax"
Both Jenifer and Smiley (who knows her personally) call Jadzia "Dax " during Shattered Mirror. I'd say that that is pretty good evidence that Jadzia(Mirror) was joined to the Dax symbiont.
- I've forgotten about this issue for ages, but now I'm taking action! Sisko and Jennifer did call her Dax so I'm going to move the page. -- Tough Little Ship 15:03, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
It doesn't make sense for Jadzia to have the Dax symbiont. As a world almost certainly conquered by the Terran Empire (our Dax's previous hosts knew McCoy before he became a surgeon), it's more reasonable to assume that the symbionts would have been of military interest, and ways might have been found to adapt the symbiosis with non-Trills. At any rate, it could only be a coincidence that Jadzia is the host of a symbiont named Dax. She doesn't seem to be particularly suited to Empire service, and at any rate, the Empire may have fallen decades ago.
Now, I must check and see if Ezri was Ezri Dax. GCapp1959 10:11, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
