Talk:Kelis' species
From Memory Alpha, the free Star Trek reference
Isn't is speculative to say that some of this species had spaceflight just because someone looking like a member of this species was assimilated? Many members of species in Star Trek look similar but are not directly related, such as the Mintakans and the Vulcans.--31dot 11:38, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- I agree, I thought it was really odd that it was placed here. I find it hard to believe that some have spaceflight, and others don't on the same planet. Kelis' species was pre-warp for start. And second, wouldn't B'Elanna or Harry have noticed that some people on the planet were space worthy? Seeing as it wasn't mentioned onscreen, I'd say that the remark that some have spaceflight is pure speculation. Its not canon at all. As 31dot said, maybe they just looked similar, or maybe something else, like they were taken of the planet by someone else. I vote for removing the remark on spaceflight. But leaving the part about the kid in and that he appeared to be one of the species. Even though he stated he was on his father's ship when assimilated, how that is possible should be stated as unknown. --Marjolijn 13:53, 15 October 2008 (CET)
I think that's reasonable.--31dot 12:01, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
