How was Leyton's rank of Vice Admiral established? If it was via his insignia, he could be part of a bizzare tradition of fleet admirals wearing vice admiral insignia during the TNG era. 64.229.8.138 21:29, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

He was wearing Vice Admiral insignia and I believe he was labeled as a Vice Admiral in the script. If the rank isn't mentioned in dialogue, we go by what was worn. --From Andoria with Love 04:42, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
